Welcome to St Paul’s Opera, the home of opera in South West London. From humble beginnings in 2013, we have grown from a one-off staged production of Puccini’s comic one-act opera, Gianni Schicchi, to the current vibrant year-round programme of concerts, masterclasses and summer picnic opera festival. 

During 2023 we have enjoyed a fun-filled 10th anniversary gala and the “astonishingly exuberant performance” of Carmen. Our most recent event, Endless Pleasure, featured many of the faces who took part in Carmen and was a joyous evening of wonderful music.

But now we look forward to the final performances of our 2023 programme, our traditional Christmas opera-panto. Little Red and the Big Bad… is a festive reimagining of César Cui’s enchanting but seldom performed opera Little Red Riding Hood. Meet all manner of characters, some old, some new.

There are two performances – an evening show on Friday, 8th December at 7.30pm (doors open at 7pm) and a family-friendly afternoon matinée on Saturday 9th December at 3.30pm (doors open at 3pm). 

Both performances will be held at our home, St Paul’s Church, Rectory Grove, Clapham Old Town. Tickets are £20 for adults and £10 for children (under 16) and are available on the buttons below. Tickets on the door will be £22 and £11 respectively.
