It is known that adolescents dream of independence and are burdened by the guardianship of adults. One day, the main characters of this performance managed to fulfill their dream: in the most extraordinary circumstances, they found themselves on a desert island alone, without any adults. Finally, they can breathe freely!


But it turned out that it’s not so easy to be independent in extreme situations, and even if you have to choose: either become the leader of the pack obedient to you, or remain a person to the end, overcoming difficulties and making the most adult decisions.

The performance was created based on one of the most famous and complex philosophical novels by Nobel Prize winner William Golding about the fate of teenagers stranded on a desert island. This is a story about betrayal and retribution, selfishness and self-sacrifice, about how to resist evil when it approaches you from all sides. To include such a work in the repertoire was to some extent risky, but, nevertheless, taking a risk, the theater won: it turned out to be a bright, dynamic and deep performance.

In 2009, "Lord of the Flies" was awarded the Prize of the Government of Russia in the field of culture.
