Torna a Como la Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini, creata a Parma nel 2002 come prosecuzione della storica e fruttuosa esperienza dell’Orchestra dell’Emilia-Romagna Arturo Toscanini, fiore all’occhiello del panorama musicale regionale; oggi è considerata una tra le più importanti orchestre sinfoniche italiane. Ispirata ai valori del grande Maestro Arturo Toscanini – rigore, talento, estro e impegno – l’attività dell’orchestra si caratterizza per una continua ricerca di qualità, dal repertorio classico al contemporaneo, dai gruppi “da camera” al grande sinfonismo. A dirigerla sarà il M° Omer Meir-Wellber, direttore artistico del Toscanini Festival, direttore musicale della Volksoper Wien e direttore musicale del Teatro Massimo. Negli ultimi anni si è affermato come uno dei principali direttori di oggi, sia del repertorio operistico che orchestrale.
Questo concerto sarà dedicato a Gustav Mahler, a partire dai Rückert-Lieder per voce e orchestra creati dal compositore fra il 1901 e il 1902 su testi del poeta Friedrich Rückert, qui cantanti dal baritono tedesco Christoph Pohl.
