NORMA - THE MASTER WORK OF BEL CANTA When Norma - a masterpiece by Vincenzo Bellini

- appeared in our Theater nearly 40 years ago (1983), the audience was delighted with what they saw and heard! The Italian bel canto sounded on the Łódź stage with real force in an excellent musical and vocal interpretation conducted by Tadeusz Kozłowski, with the unforgettable Teresa May-Czyżowska in the title role. Today we are returning to this dramatic opera with its magnificent, spectacular arias and ensembles performed in concert - with soloists who will certainly not disappoint, and will certainly delight with their vocal abilities, musical interpretation and this bel cant.



The moving story of the main characters (Norma, Adalgis, Pollione, Oroveso) full of love adventures taking place in Gaul under Roman occupation - is not only moving and engaging the viewer behind the scenes of the heroes' actions; it is also an excellent pretext for their spectacular and breakneck vocal performances, which are not lacking in this work. To the satisfaction and delight of the audience.

We have no doubts that, just as our first Norma electrified opera fans, this meeting with Bellini's compositional mastery and vocal artistry of artists of the caliber of Joanna Woś, Bernadetta Grabias, Weronika Leśniewska, Arnold Rutkowski, Grzegorz Szostak and Dawid Kwieciński will delight and delight it will satisfy the most demanding music lovers.
