Verdi's most famous opera was based on a novel and later a play by Alexander Dumas Jr. Lady with camellias. Her name Traviata means "lost", "the one who got out of the way". Dumas Jr. he wrote a novel from Paris's demi-monde - half-world, in which the protagonist is the courtesan, and that is why this story was considered immoral in its time. However, Verdi, who attended the world premiere of the game in Paris, recognized its strength and created perhaps its strongest opera heroine - Violetta. We will follow her fate in opera and get to know the famous model of Alexander Dumas Jr. By no means is this a sweet-romantic story, as is sometimes perceived, but a compelling narrative associated with a critique of society and, at the end, a shaking testimony about a man who is dying in the protagonist's diaries.
