The 39th Istanbul Music Festival greets music lovers with BIPO’s performances, under the baton of Sascha Goetzel, of “Izmir Rhapsody” composed by Muammer Sun, recipient of the festival’s 2011 “Honorary Award”, and Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A minor, with a powerful interpretation by the young piano virtuoso Lara Melda, winner of 2010 BBC Young Musician Contest.
