When dancing couples float across the stage in three-four time and the violins waltz on the strings, you will experience the Sorbian national ensemble in its usual top form with its operetta gala "You are the world for me".

The appeal of the operetta lies not only in its amusing and sometimes dramatic confusion on stage, but especially in its touching music. The ensemble has selected the most beautiful arias, duets, musical and waltz melodies from the great variety and combines them in an unmistakable program.

Expressive soloists and the ensemble's own ballet give the evening that special extra. In addition to the ever-present Strauss dynasty, works by talented contemporaries such as Franz Lehár or Richard Tauber, whose world-famous catchy tune lends its name to the program, can be heard. On top of that, of course, there are also one or two samples of Sorbian light music.

Presenter Kristina Nerád guides the audience through the program in an amusing and stylish way. Enjoy an evening full of wit, lightness and pure entertainment!
