One of the great successes of the theater in recent years,  'Peter Pan, o Musical'  returns to São Paulo for a short season at Teatro Alfa, starting on June 3rd . The fable of the boy who refused to grow up, created by  JM Berrie, is increasingly current and has been seen by more than 200,000 people. In 2018, this production received the Bibi Ferreira awards for best scenery, costumes and choreography, in addition to winning the best show at the Digital Press Award. The achievements of this production, however, did not stop there. The musical broke sales records in the history of Teatro Alfa, in São Paulo, and Cidade das Artes, in Rio de Janeiro. This classic became a reference in literature, cinema and also in theater. The Broadway version of ' Peter Pan'  won a Brazilian production, with  Mateus Ribeiro  in the title role, in a performance acclaimed by critics. The show is directed by  José Possi Neto , in a production by  Touché Entretenimento .

The new season has two big names debuting in the cast: award-winning actor Saulo Vasconcelos  is divided between Captain Hook and Mr. Darling and, in the role of Wendy, Carol Costa , winner of the 2021 Bibi Ferreira Award for Best Supporting Actress.
To play the character,  Mateus  was selected through auditions, which had more than 4,000 candidates. The choice could not have been more correct:  Mateus  won the main awards for best actor. Also on stage are  Pedro Navarro  (Smee),  Lia Canineu  (Mrs. Darling),  Vinicius Teixeira (lost boy) and a great cast. The musical direction is by  Carlos Bauzys .

'Peter Pan, o Musical'  was the highlight of the 2018 awards. It had 10 nominations for the Reverência Award (won best  ensemble  and  Mateus Ribeiro  was elected best actor), nine nominations for the Bibi Ferreira Award (won best scenario, best costume and best choreography ). The show was elected one of the three best musicals of the year 2018, by Folha de São Paulo, and had 14 nominations for the  Broadway World Brazil Awards 2018,  in addition to winning three categories of the Destaque Imprensa Digital Award: Destaque Musical Brasileiro, Destaque Ator (Mateus Ribeiro) and Highlight Choreography (Alonso Barros).

The production of  'Peter Pan'  is an old dream of producer  Renata Borges , who has already brought to the country other classics, such as 'Cinderella' (by Rodgers & Hammerstein's), 'Madagascar, a musical adventure', 'Yes, I accept ' and 'How to eliminate your boss'. “We are returning because the success of the first seasons was immense and the public has been asking for this return for 4 years. We put together a montage with all the grandeur that the show asks for and this was only possible thanks to the contribution of Renault Financial Service and Eurofarma, which are companies that invest in the culture of their people and with which we have a partnership”. Renata adds: “It's an original version, made with our talent. We brought in the special effects and flight technicians from Broadway. I couldn't be happier, in addition to the huge audience success, we won the main awards of the São Paulo theatrical season, not to mention that Brazilians need to dream again. And nothing better than happy thoughts!”
