There is nothing more important for loving parents than the harmonious development of their child. Emotional and intellectual formation of a baby begins long before its birth. And music, being the most sublime and harmonious art form, helps to achieve this goal best of all.

'Alcina or Magic Island' by George Frideric Handel is one of the most wonderful baroque operas. Divine music and poetical plot inspired director Georgiy Isaakyan and conductor Alevtina Ioffe to stage this masterpiece as a special performance for the very unusual audience – prospective moms.

In the middle of the ocean the island of sorceress Alcina is hidden. Any traveler who gets there falls under her spell – she turns people into stones, animals and plants. Only knight Ruggiero manages to avoid this fate. The great sorceress falls in love with him, while Bradamante, a bride of Ruggiero, sets off in search of him.

This intricate story of love, jealousy, vows and forgiveness will be told on the stage of the Moscow Opera Theater for Young Audience in the language of wonderful and magic music.
