The conducting department of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland warmly invites you to the fifth concert of the year of the RCS Conductor’s Lab Orchestra. The biggest concert put on by the ensemble thus far, we venture into outer space, with the 80-piece orchestra guiding us through Holst’s Planets suite. Before this, the lady’s chorus opens the concert with a performance of Fauré’s Cantique de Jean Racine, followed by Sibelius’ glacial Violin Concerto, with Eddy Betancourt as soloist.
