Mozart's infinitely beautiful Requiem is one of the most beautiful things ever written. The tear-jerking Lacrimosa movement has been used in many different contexts, both in feature films and commercials, and if you have not heard the entire prop, you have definitely heard excerpts from this movement.

This was the last thing Mozart wrote. Some of the movements were dictated on the deathbed of his student Süssmayr, and it was also this that completed the work after Mozart's death, based on sketches and instructions. One could almost say that Mozart wrote his own mass of death at the time he died too young, at the age of 35.
