A timely Danish requiem
In 2013, the DR Symphony Orchestra and the DR Concert Choir, together with five soloists, premiered the Danish composer John Frandsen  's Requiem . The concert was a great success. The professional reviewers praised the work to the skies:

I was greatly moved in various ways during the almost two hours of intense experience, from anguish and resentment to melancholy and emotion, and tears welled up on more than one occasion.”
