In the 1950s, two centuries after Scarlatti's death, György Ligeti was composing his Musica ricercata for piano. In this eleven-piece collection, the Hungarian composer explored the frontiers of his personal style and devised a then-new piano script. The spirit of radical novelty that it shares with many of Scarlatti's sonatas invites an intertwined listening to these works, as proposed by this last concert in the cycle "La huella de Scarlatti", in which the harpsichord and the piano alternate.

En la década de 1950, dos siglos después de la muerte de Scarlatti, György Ligeti componía su Musica ricercata para piano. En esta colección de once piezas, el compositor húngaro exploraba las fronteras de su personal estilo e ideaba una escritura pianística por entonces nueva. El espíritu de radical novedad que comparte con muchas sonatas scarlattianas invita a una escucha entrelazada de estas obras, tal como propone este último concierto del ciclo “La huella de Scarlatti”, en el que se alternan el clave y el piano.
