With the breathtaking Raphaëlle Moreau on violin for Mozart's famous Concerto No. 5 , this concert will also allow us to discover another of Schubert's unfinished symphonies: Symphony No. 7.

Mozart's celebrated Violin Concerto No. 5 , which has rapidly established itself as one of the great jewels of the violin repertoire, is no longer in the limelight, but Schubert's Symphony No. 7 is a new discovery. Thomas Rösner uses the version recently orchestrated by Austrian composer Richard Dünser to plunge us into the very special world of these pages which, it is clear, mark a real turning point in Schubert's career and herald the flamboyance of his last years. After Austria and Italy, Nice will have the honour of giving the French premiere!

De part et d’autre du classicisme, Mozart et Schubert disent adieu au classicisme et ouvrent la voie à une esthétique nouvelle : le romantisme. Avec l’époustouflante Raphaëlle Moreau au violon pour le célèbre
Concerto n°5 de Mozart, ce concert nous permettra également de découvrir une autre symphonie inachevée de Schubert : la Symphonie n°7.

Si l’on ne présente plus le célébrissime Concerto pour violon n°5 de Mozart, qui s’est rapidement imposé comme l’un des grands joyaux du répertoire violonistique, la Symphonie n°7 de Schubert sera en revanche une découverte. Elle fait en effet partie des cinq symphonies que le musicien a laissées inachevées.Thomas Rösner s’empare ici de la version récemment orchestrée par le compositeur autrichien Richard Dünser pour nous faire plonger dans l’univers si particulier de ces pages qui, on le sent, marquent un véritable tournant dans la carrière de Schubert et annoncent le flamboiement de ses dernières années.Notons qu’après l’Autriche et l’Italie, Nice aura l’honneur d’en donner la création française !
