Sergio Bernal Dance Company – Rodin
ConcertoBallet with orchestra and sets
Auguste Rodin, one of the most beloved and exciting artists of all time, is considered one of the fathers of contemporary sculpture thanks to a new way of observing and experiencing the work of art. Dancer and choreographer Sergio Bernal pays homage to the magic of three of his best-known works, giving them new life through the art of movement. Using dance languages ranging from classical and baroque ballet to Spanish dance and neoclassicism, Bernal selected the three sculptures by Rodin that highlight different aspects of the sculptor's artistic conception: Torse d'homme Louis XIV, dedicated to beauty and physical force; The Kiss , dedicated to love; The Thinker , focusing on the importance of thought and reason. Sergio Bernal, a dancer often invited to participate in the most prestigious galas, is a performer in one of the choreographies accompanied by Giada Rossi, soloist of the National Dance Company of Spain. Also on stage will be a live performance of the music of Maurice Ravel, Roque Baños, Jean-Baptiste Lully and Jordi Savall.
