Rediscovered in the 19th century , Shakespeare fascinated the whole of Europe. His theater allowed musicians to rethink genres. From Mendelssohn's romantic Germany to Tchaikovsky's Tsarist Russia, the nights of A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Tempest set the tone for this concert, placed under the sign of the magical and the marvellous.
