L'Opéra National de Bordeaux remercie le TnBA pour sa précieuse collaboration.

Commande de l’Opéra National de Bordeaux, Slutchaï est une création du compositeur franco-argentin Oscar Strasnoy, dont les récentes créations lyriques ont triomphé sur les plus grandes scènes internationales. Chanté en russe, cet opéra d’après le poète de l’absurde Daniil Harms, nous plonge dans le quotidien de Saint-Pétersbourg au cœur des années 30-40. De rebondissements en co-incidences ou faits divers (slutchaï en russe), se déroule le fil du récit « avec le vivant qui résiste dans l’engrenage ». Après le succès de Genitrix en 2007, c’est Christine Dormoy qui signe le livret et la mise en scène de cette création particulièrement attendue. "Je pars en général de textes avec lesquels j’ai une affinité assez forte, je travaille avec des écrivains qui me connaissent, j’aime qu’il y ait une continuité dans le travail." The Opéra National de Bordeaux thanks the TnBA for its precious collaboration.

Commissioned by the Opéra National de Bordeaux, Slutchaï is a creation by Franco-Argentinian composer Oscar Strasnoy, whose recent lyrical creations have triumphed on the greatest international stages. Sung in Russian, this opera after the poet of the absurd Daniil Harms, immerses us in the daily life of Saint Petersburg in the heart of the 30s and 40s. From twists and turns to co-incidences or miscellaneous facts (slutchaï in Russian), the thread of the story unfolds “with the living that resists in the gears”. After the success of Genitrix in 2007, Christine Dormoy wrote the libretto and the direction of this highly anticipated creation.
