Our chief conductor, Mo. Matthias Bamert has selected Takemitsu’s “Rain coming.” Bamert has been in touch with Takemitsu when he was Director of Contemporary Music Festival in Glasgow. Ms. Naoko Yoshino and Mr. Schütz of the Vienna Philharmonic will be with us for Mozart Concerto for Flute and Harp; and the very special Schubert by Bamert, following the “Incomplete Symphony” in our 60th anniversary concert, he is to conduct Symphony The Great.

～2月の”水”をめぐるプログラム～
年間テーマ「水」に沿った音楽としてバーメルトが選んだのは、武満徹「雨ぞふる」。バーメルトはグラスゴーの現代音楽祭の監督を務めていた時に武満を招くなどの交流がありました。武満に愛された札響とともに、これからもその音楽の演奏をつづけていく･･･東京公演とも共通するプログラムにその志が強く打ち出されているようです。世界的ハーピスト吉野直子、ウィーン・フィルのフルート奏者シュッツとの贅沢なモーツァルト。そして、シューベルトに特別な思い入れを持つバーメルトは、2021年9月、60周年記念演奏会での「未完成」の名演につづいて最後の”天国的に長大な”交響曲「ザ・グレイト」を指揮します。
