The Hollywood actress, director and producer, starring John Malkovich, is based on a true-to-life story of the serial killer, female man and writer Jack Unterweger (in the role of Malkovich), who inevitably rushes to his own destruction while escaping capture. The two women in the play, the magnificent sopranos Chen Reiss and Susanne Langbein, present the arias of Gluck, Vivaldi, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Boccherin and Weber, which tell the story of Unterweger’s emotional states in true Baroque opera style. The orchestra is conducted by Martin Haselböck, one of Austria's leading early music ensembles.
