»An American Night of Swing« vereint die Höhepunkte amerikanischer Swing-Musik in einem Programm. »Swing King« Andrej Hermlin und seine Bigband gehen auf eine Reise ins Amerika der 30er Jahre, in die große Zeit einer Musik, die in diesen Tagen eine bemerkenswerte Renaissance erlebt − Swing! Das Repertoire umfasst zahlreiche bekannte, aber auch seltene Originalarrangements, Melodien der berühmtesten Orchester der Swing-Ära, wie beispielsweise von Benny Goodman oder Glenn Miller, aber auch eigene Arrangements von Andrej Hermlin. Das Swing Dance Orchestra ist dabei bis ins Detail authentisch: Der Sound, die Arrangements, die Mikrofone und die Pulte, die Instrumente und die Garderobe entsprechen den amerikanischen Originalen jener Zeit.

"An American Night of Swing" combines the highlights of American swing music in one program. "Swing King" Andrej Hermlin and his big band go on a journey to America in the 1930s, to the heyday of music that is currently experiencing a remarkable renaissance - swing! The repertoire includes numerous well-known but also rare original arrangements, melodies from the most famous orchestras of the swing era, such as Benny Goodman or Glenn Miller, but also own arrangements by Andrej Hermlin. The Swing Dance Orchestra is authentic down to the last detail: the sound, the arrangements, the microphones and the consoles, the instruments and the wardrobe correspond to the American originals of the time.
