Specially conceived for the Malatesta Music Festival is the program faced by the musicians of the WunderKammer Orchestra directed by Carlo Tenan , a new and very current project, The spirit of Europe, which highlights how composers have always loved to draw on the sources of popular music, reworking and transforming them. The program is an image that draws the cultural borders of Europe, regardless of divisions and politics. With the participation of the mezzo-soprano Helen Walterthe concert will take inspiration from Beethoven with the cycle of Contraddances and the collection by the Volkslieder where Beethoven creates original arrangements of European popular songs and then moves on to unpublished twentieth-century repertoires. A further relaunch for the concert will be the publication of a volume created by the publisher Martinville where the recording will be placed on an innovative platform intended to create a dense network of iconographic and textual references.
