“If you ever get a chance to see Ludovic Tézier’s Scarpia, grab it,” urges the international music media. The summer’s soloist, baritone Ludovic Tézier, is not only Scarpia, the world’s best police chief - in his role as a savvy exploiter and manipulator - but also a really big name on opera stages. It’s great that, in addition to Tosca, he will also be performing in his entire own concert on July 17th.

Miina-Liisa Vela is forecast to have a remarkable international career. He is on the verge of success. Paired with a regular guest at the Metropolitan, the Royal Opera and the Bavarian State Opera, tenor Matthew Polenzan, for whom the role of Cavaradoss is expected to make his debut

“Tosca falls next to us time and time again, even though the first jump from the wall is over a hundred years and two hundred meters. He seems to change with the times and can always only accelerate and upset the human mind, ”says director Keith Warner. A tangle of furious jealousy holds its grip, and Puccini’s involuntarily flowing music reveals in his love the true feelings of those threatened. For Puccini, the opera was the world of emotions and dreams, where the song of the still mortally wounded continues until the last breath.

Miina-Liisa Värelälle ennustetaan huomattavaa kansainvälistä huippu-uraa. Hän on menestyksen kynnyksellä. Parikseen hän saa Metropolitanin, Royal Operan ja Baijerin valtionoopperan vakiovieraan, tenori Matthew Polenzanin, jolle Cavaradossin rooli on odotettu debyytti.

”Tosca putoaa viereemme kerta toisensa jälkeen, vaikka ensimmäisestä hypystä muurilta on yli sata vuotta ja kaksisataa metriä. Ooppera oli Puccinille se tunteiden ja haaveiden maailma, jossa vielä kuolettavasti haavoittuneenkin laulu jatkuu viimeiseen hengenvetoon saakka.
