Founded in 2009 by three leading musicians, the ensemble has won consistent plaudits for its interpretations. ‘The performers brought a spontaneity and freshness to the music, with the inventive nature of the material really shining through’, wrote Seen and Heard International of an earlier Wigmore appearance. The Variations by the German-born, highly influential Israeli composer Paul Ben-Haim (1897-1984) date from 1939.
