Since 1948, the year of the foundation of the famous Deller consort, the English vocals have been able to impose an absolutely original and often unsurpassed style and repertoire all over the world. A tradition that is worthily honored today by Voces8, an a cappella group that is literally depopulating in theaters all over the world. As per tradition, their repertoire proceeds from the Renaissance to the present day, choosing classical and non-classical, English, American, Italian or French authors, original texts or cleverly arranged alternating cultured stylistic elements, jazz and pop. A vocal music that loves to continuously appropriate the tones proper to instrumental music, abandoning itself to the long and quiet flow of the chords to immediately take the virtuosic paths of swirling and convoluted rhythms. The Voces8 octet was formed in 2003 by a group of former Westminster Abbey singers and immediately made a name for itself all over the world for its sound balance, absolute precision of intonation and rhythm. In their short history, the names of the most prestigious halls in the world flow, from the Wigmore Hall in London to the Mariinsky Theater Concert Hall in St. Petersburg, from the Opera Theater in Tel Aviv and Shanghai to the Concert Hall in New York City. This season they will play over 100 concerts in the UK and across Europe, Israel and the USA; they will also return to Trento for another of their many absolutely enthralling performances.
