Biography
Currently assistant conductor of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Liège with Gergely Madaras for the seasons 19/20 and 20/21, Victor Jacob is a graduate of a Master in orchestral conducting from the Royal Academy of Music in London as well as CNSM de Paris in Alain Altinoglu's class. He also improved with Bernard Haitink at the Lucerne Easter Festival, Marin Alsop in São Paulo, or during David Zinman's masterclasses. Finalist of the Young Chefs Competition of Besançon in 2019, he won the "special mention", awarded for the very first time in the history of the competition. Also semi-finalist of the Hong Kong international competition, he is regularly invited by the National Orchestra of Montpellier Occitanie, as well as by the Choir and the Master of Radio France.
