Aurelio Viribay

The pianist Aurelio Viribay specializes in the accompaniment of singers. He completed his formation in this field with Norman Shetler in Vienna, with Dalton Baldwin in France and with Félix Lavilla in Madrid. Between 1995 and 1997 he worked as vocal coach at the 'Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts' and the 'Konservatorium Wien University', and since 1998 he has been professor at the 'Escuela Superior de Canto de Madrid'. In addition he has collaborated in masterclasses given by Thomas Quasthoff in the 'Mozarteum University Salzburg', Walter Berry in the 'Cartusiana Internationale Sommerakademie Niederösterreich' (Austria), and Teresa Berganza in the 'Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía' in Madrid. He has collaborated as official pianist in various singing competitions such a
