View cast and crewThe Brazilian tenor Matheus Pompeu, started his career singing amongst the main stages of his country, mostly in his hometown, Belo Horizonte, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. In 2017, he launched his career in Europe and concluded his training program at the prestigious academy of the Palau de les Arts in Valencia, under direction of Davide Livermoore and Placido Domingo. During this time in Valencia, Matheus meets the great violist and Maestro Fabio Biondi, who invited him to various concerts, as well as to record his first album with the acclaimed ensemble Europa Galante. Matheus sings with passion the part of Jontek, male protagonist of “Halka”, a masterpiece of Polish music, work recently nominated for the 2020 International Opera Award as the best complete Opera recording.
