Michael Heim was born in Bludenz (Vorarlberg, Austria) and grew up in the town of Thüringen (Austria), nearby. After his studies of music he worked for several years as journalist and editor in the greatest West Austrian publishing company (Voralberger Medienhaus). Whilst still a student he was invited to participate in numerous concerts at national and international festivals. His teacher include KS Irmgard Boas (Dresden), Prof. Habib Samadzadeh (Hohenems), KS Nicolai Gedda (Genf) and KS Francisco Araiza (Zürich/München). His first roles on a stage were in 1998 at the Theatre in St. Gallen and included amongst others the First Prisoner/Fidelio.
