Yuriy Yurchuk - O Carlo Ascolta... Io morro, ma lieto in core (Don Carlo)
Biography
British-Ukrainian baritone Yuriy Yurchuk has been described as "the finest voice on stage” (The Times) and “rich, deep voice capable of great versatility” (Bachtrack). In the 2022/23 season he has sung Germont in La traviata for Northern Ireland Opera and the title role in Eugene Onegin for La Monnaie, Brussels, and sings Rachmaninov’s The Bells with the London Philharmonia Orchestra and then Finland Radio Symphony Orchestra. Other recent operatic engagements include Marcello in La bohème (Northern Ireland Opera, Opernhaus Zürich, Opera North, DePaul Opera Theatre), the title role in Eugene Onegin at Ukraine National Opera, Manon Lescaut and Turandot at Opernhaus Zürich; Ford in Falstaff in Chicago; Four Villains in The Tales of Hoffmann Yuriy Yurchuk was a member of the Jette Parker
