A graduate in Hospitality Management, the bass clef chef swapped ‘a la carte’ for ‘a cappella’ after receiving a Sir Geraint Evans Scholarship, which enabled him to attend The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, where he studied with the renowned tenor John Mitchinson and vocal coach Gerald Wragg. Whilst there, other awards and accolades soon followed including; winning, the ‘Blue Riband’ at Royal National Eisteddfod, The Morriston Orpheus Choir MOCSA Young Welsh Singers competition and the inaugural Sir Geraint Evans Memorial
