London, United KingdomCraig Lemont Walters was born in Paget, Bermuda and began musical training with piano lessons at the age of eight. He was educated, at the Northfield Mount Hermon School -where he made his debut as soloist-, at Jacksonville University in Florida, and at the Peabody Conservatory in Maryland where he studied singing with Prof. William Ray. Mr. Walters was a winner of the Lois J. Wright Memorial Competition for singers and was also a winner in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Competition sponsored by the National Association of Teachers of Singing. He has been featured on an album of American Negro spirituals recorded on the R.P.C. label and has been given the honor of performing the world premieres of songs by William Schirmer, David DiPale and the opera ‘Gloria von Jaxtberg’ by H.K. Gruber at the
