Opera Magazine Andrew Dickinson is making an impression at opera houses and concert halls world-wide with his charismatic stage presence and sensitive musicality. Born in Liverpool, he completed his studies at the Royal Academy Opera School in 2011. During his training he won a number of competitions, including the Maureen Lehane Competition at the Wigmore Hall and the UK Wagner Society Award in 2014/15. In 2023/24, Andrew's highlights include Frere Elie in a new production of Messiaen's St. Francois d'Asisse (Denlon/Nagano) at the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Der Schäbige in Hamburg Oper's Lady Macbeth of Mtzensk and Tschaplitskij in Deutsche Oper Berlin's new production of Pique Dame.
