Hanover, GermanyPhilipp Kapeller was born in 1989 in Innsbruck (Austria) and had his first musical education already age 10 in the local music school where he was a soloist in concerts and masses. He also learned to play the piano and the trombone. He was a price winner of the national competition Prima la musica, both with his boy's voice and also after his voice changed. While still in high school he attended a preparatory course at the conservatory of Innsbruck. Since 2008 he studies with Karlheinz Hanser at the University of Music and Performing Arts, since 2011 Lied and oratorio with Charles Spencer-Smith.
