The opera was written in 1974; in this stage version it was staged in Perm in 2000. Renewal 2016.

A funny, funny, informative performance helps young spectators to get acquainted with musical theater. All the main characters of the play are the animate components of musical theater: Instruments and Voices, Chorus and Orchestra. The spectators sing and play together with the clowns - Sad and Merry. Together with the Detective, they set off in search of the Blue Diamond, stolen from the palace of King II and Queen XIII of the Gawker, because of the loss of which Princess Teardrop sheds bitter tears. And in the final they get to the ball, where every musical instrument, after an hour of adventure in the Opera Country, is already perceived as a good old friend. The play is built on the presentation of the children's audience of all beloved and recognizable theatrical characters, as well as on comic quotations of famous scenes from musical performances.
