Alcina by Georg Friedrich Handel is one of the most beautiful baroque operas. Divine music and a poetic plot inspired director Georgy Isahakyan and conductor Alevtina Ioffe to stage this masterpiece as a special performance for the most extraordinary audience - for expectant mothers.

In the middle of the ocean, the island of the sorceress Alcina is hidden. Any traveler who gets here, she turns into stones, trees, animals and flowers. And only the knight Ruggiero manages to avoid this fate. The great sorceress falls in love with him. The abandoned bride of Ruggiero Bradamante rushes in search of him.

A series of love obsessions, jealousy, resentment, vows and forgiveness - bizarre plot twists unfold on the stage, sound amazing, perfect music.
