The Grafenegg Festival is celebrating its 10th anniversary! The Tonkunstler Orchestra, conducted by Yutaka Sado, will be supported by 22 alumni of the European Union Youth Orchestra and accompanied by the top soloists Klaus Florian Vogt, René Pape, Camilla Nylund and Elena Zhidkova.

The two commissioned works "Fanfare" and "An die Hoffnung" by this year's Composer in Residence Christian Jost as well as Beethoven's overture to Collins' tragedy "Coriolan" are part of the anniversary. The evening reaches its climax with Beethoven's 9th symphony. With the performance of "the outstanding bassist René Pape, the fabulous soprano Camilla Nylund and the great mezzo-soprano Elena Zhidkova together with the Wiener Singverein, Beethoven's Ninth proved to be simply sensational.
