Bel canto, beautiful singing: That sounds like Italian lightness, the spoken word alone evokes sunny images and memories of vacations in southern regions. If a concert hall is almost predestined for bel canto, if so to speak demands it, then it is the Festspielhaus in Erl
Italian operas from the end of the 16th to the middle of the 19th century are expressed in the finest way in this hall. The Tyrolean Festival Erl uses this quality to present its guests with a selection of the most beautiful arias and compositions by the most famous composers of this era – Gioacchino Rossini, Vincenzo Bellini and Gaetano Donizetti, but also early works by Giuseppe Verdi. Donizetti's overture to the opera "Don Pasquale" and arias from the
Rossini operas "Semiramide" and "La Cenerentola" will be performed, and the cavatina "Regnava nel silenzio" from Donizetti's "Lucia di Lammermoor" will not be missing at this concert either the ballet music from Rossini's "Guillaume Tell". You can look forward to an evening full of musical bliss!
