Since the premiere of the "Christmas in Vienna" gala in 1992, this very special and unmistakable concert has been shaped by the extraordinary artistic personalities who have performed in this context: from Placido Domingo to José Carreras and Luciano Pavarotti to Grace Bumbry, Elîna Garanča, Juan Diego Flórez or Thomas Hampson. In 2009, two stars of the international opera world, Bernarda Fink and José Cura, will be on the stage of the Vienna Konzerthaus and together with the internationally acclaimed soprano Tamar Iveri, who has made a name for the Viennese through the State Opera premieres and the opening of the Opera Ball, and the up-and-coming baritone Daniel Boaz will perform classical music Performing the Christmas tradition in the world capital of music.
