Leo Stein and Béla Jenbach presented him with a libretto based on the love of the son of an aristocratic Austrian family for a chance player from the Budapest theater. The libretto reflects the truth about the changing world: changes in customs, the breakdown of old social structures.

The implementation of Opera Nova places the stage action in interwar Poland: in Warsaw and Vilnius, in a fashionable venue, frequented by, among others, sanacja officers and in the palace of the borderland aristocracy. A brilliantly directed operetta with comedy gags and one of Opera Nova's best productions. A real theater of emotions; the audience wipes their tears from their emotions and laughter. Music? This is Kálmán's greatest compositional achievement: Although there are a lot of girls in the world, artists, artists, artists from variété, Don't look for happiness behind the mountains, behind the forests, In the rhythm of the fight ... this is what every inhabitant of Europe knows.
