Seville in the 17th century.

A blasphemous seducer, Don Giovanni advances masked to seduce the young Donna Anna who is engaged to Don Ottavio. Anna rejects him and receives the protection of her father the Commander. Don Giovanni mortally wounds the old man during a nocturnal duel and leaves, without remorse, towards new prey and once again accompanied by his valet Leporello, a refractory accomplice in his adventures.
