Don Giovanni houdt van alle vrouwen, maar het meest nog van zichzelf. De individualist trekt een spoor van geweld door de "opera der opera's" en wordt daarvoor uiteindelijk op een onverwachte manier gestraft. Mozart schreef met zijn "Don Giovanni" een opera met eeuwigheidswaarde die in onze tijd actueler dan ooit blijkt. Met een jonge cast, een flexibel kamerorkest en een regie waarin humor en rauwheid hand in hand gaan brengt Opera Compact deze klassieker wel heel dichtbij...

Opera Compact is hét nieuwe operagezelschap van het zuiden, dat zich engageert om in, met en vanuit de regio een nieuwe impuls aan het genre opera te geven: met benaderbare producties die een plek vinden in de eigen theaters.
