Faust et Marguerite, inspirada en el Fausto, parte I, de Wolfgang von Goethe.
La historia de Fausto, Margarita y Mefi stófeles ofrece a Gounod la oportunidad de producir algunas de las melodías más
célebres del repertorio lírico en el formato de la gran ópera francesa: cinco actos, escenas de ballet y un poderoso coro. Y de
poner en música la decisión más trascendente, la que enfrenta al ser humano con el bien y con el mal. Stefano Poda, director
de escena de esta puesta estrenada en el Teatro Regio de Torino en 2015, más que poner la ópera en un escenario, construye,
a partir de elementos de la obra, un mundo poético donde la obra habita.

The story of Faust, Marguerite and Mephistopheles offers Gounod the opportunity to produce some of the most celebrated melodies in the lyrical repertoire in the format of the French grand opera: five acts, ballet scenes and a powerful chorus. And to put into music the most important decision, the one that confronts the human being with good and evil. Stefano Poda, stage director of this production premiered at the Teatro Regio in Torino in 2015, rather than putting the opera on stage, builds, from elements of the work, a poetic world where the work inhabits.
