George Dandin the peasant buys respectability in kind (marriage) and money (his fortune), but in vain he marries a particle and changes status, he is nonetheless a stranger to delicacy and aristocratic manners. Also his wife, Angélique, cuckolds him and he, horny, will never cease to surprise her in the arms of her lover, Clitandre ...
What surprises the viewer is the unity of Molière's staging by the serious mutt Michel Fau. Black backgrounds, tortured perspectives and abundant accumulation of colors in lights and fabrics, the setting is magnificent. Fau surrounds himself with his usual collaborators (Christian Lacroix in the costumes, Emmanuel Charles in the sets, Joël Fabing in the light) for this production of the original version for 7 actors but also 4 singers and 8 musicians.
