The Teatro dell'Opera di Roma returns to Japan for the first time since 2018. We are delighted to be able to present the first opera tour by an overseas company in four years after several postponements due to COVID-19.

Led by conductor Michele Mariotti who assumed the title of the Company's Music Director on 1 November 2022, the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma will present two masterpieces in sumptuous productions: La traviata in Sopfia Coppola's production which won huge public and critical acclaim on their last Japan tour in 2018.

In La traviata, soprano Lisette Oropesa stars as Violetta, opposite tenor Francesco Meli as Alfredo Germont and baritone Amartuvshin Enkhbat as Giorgio Germont
