The crystalline voice of soprano Magali Simard-Galdès will bring to life the texts of the poet Arthur Rimbaud in Les Illuminations de Britten. As for the Illuminations by Canadian composer Brian Cherney , they are inspired by elements of Jewish mysticism. This evocative work for string instruments explores the transformation of the mind through meditation.

The program will also include Variations on a Theme of Frank Bridge , considered one of Britten's greatest works. Each movement bears witness to a personality trait of its mentor and offers clever imitations of other great composers.
