When the prince tries on a glass shoe on the poor girl and then the wedding is celebrated, then it is like a fairytale. But if a princess first has to become a shoe seller, so that the lover is no longer pinched by the slipper, then that is the stuff musical comedies are made of. 

Ralph Benatzky plays in “My sister and me” in fast-paced dialogues and swinging music numbers like “My girl is just a saleswoman” with operetta clichés and dares to look forward to the cheeky: Here a couple of energetic women emancipate themselves and with them a whole musical genre
