Deborah Voigt, revered as one of the world’s great sopranos and one of the most respected and versatile music personalities, will be joined by Bechara Moufarrej, the beloved tenor from Lebanon, for an exquisite and intimate operatic recital. Voigt is internationally renowned for her performances in the operas of Wagner, Strauss, and more, and she is also an active recitalist and performer of Broadway standards and popular songs. Moufarrej performs internationally and will, for Abu Dhabi Festival audiences present Rossini’s La Danza and Alfredo’s Aria from Verdi’s La Traviata. Bringing together these two artists from diverse backgrounds represents a powerful cross-cultural meeting and exchange, demonstrating opera’s power as an expressive and passionate universal language.
