Pablo Heras-Casado sube por tercera vez al podio de la Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana. Cuando aún está fresca su sobrecogedora versión de la Sinfonía Leningrado de Shostakóvich, el director granadino propone en esta comparecencia Preludio y Encantamientos del Viernes Santo, de Parsifal, el festival escénico sacro con el que Wagner se despedía de la ópera legándonos la música más espiritual, contemplativa y excelsa de su producción. Del mismo modo, la Sinfonía 5, “De la Reforma” de Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, que ocupa la segunda parte, invita al recogimiento religioso ya desde el Andante inicial, con la aparición de la secuencia del Dresdner Amen que también inspirará más tarde a Wagner en el leitmotiv del Grial en Parsifal.

Pablo Heras-Casado is conducting the Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana for the third time. While his startling version of the Leningrad Symphony by Shostakovich is still ringing in many people’s ears, this time the director from Granada is offering the Prelude and Good Friday music from Parsifal, the “sacred scenic festival” with which Wagner said goodbye to the opera, leaving us the most spiritual, contemplative and sublime music he ever composed. In the same way. 5th Symphony, "The Reformation" by Mendelssohn- Bartholdy, takes up the second part, inviting religious contemplation starting with the initial Andante, with the appearance of the Dresden amen, which would also later inspire Wagner for the Grail leitmotif in Parsifal.
