Ancora una grande interprete vocale e un nuovo “viaggio”. Laura
Polverelli, nome assai noto della scena lirica e particolarmente caro al
pubblico senese, è protagonista, assieme al pianista Matteo Fossi, di un
concerto intitolato Suggestione di viaggio, dedicato alla grande arte
vocale tedesca di Mahler e Richard Strauss (del quale nel 2019 ricorrono i 70
anni dalla scomparsa) e soprattutto francese di Debussy, Ravel e Duparc.
Uno dei mezzosoprani più acclamati della sua generazione, Laura
Polverelli ha calcato i palcoscenici di alcuni fra i maggiori teatri del
mondo, collaborando con direttori d’orchestra del calibro di Abbado,
Alessandrini, Bertini, Biondi, Bolton, Chailly, Chung, Davis, Gelmetti,
Mehta, Muti, Pappano, Gatti, Rousset, Tate, Harding. Per l’Accademia
Chigiana – di cui è stata allieva – ha cantato nel Requiem di Mozart,
nella Nona Sinfonia di Beethoven, nella Cenerentola di Rossini, nelle
Congiurate di Schubert, nella Colombe di Gounod, nonché nello
spettacolo Tosti in casa d’Annunzio, dedicato a Guido Chigi Saracini
per i 50 anni dalla scomparsa.
Matteo Fossi si è diplomato al Conservatorio di Ferrara. Successivamente
si è perfezionato con Maria Tipo, Pietro De Maria e Pier Narciso Masi,
e frequentato il Seminario di Maurizio Pollini all’Accademia Chigiana.
Si è esibito in tutte le principali stagioni italiane e in Europa, Stati Uniti,
Brasile, Cina, Corea del Sud, sia come solista sia in formazioni di musica
da camera. Attivo anche nell’organizzazione e nella diffusione della
musica, è direttore artistico dell’Associazione Nuovi Eventi Musicali e
docente di pianoforte all’Istituto Superiore Rinaldo Franci di Siena e
musica da camera alla Scuola di Musica di Fiesole.

Another great vocal interpreter and a new “journey”. Laura
Polverelli, a well-known name in the opera scene and particularly dear to the
Sienese public, is the protagonist, together with the pianist Matteo Fossi, of a
concert entitled Travel suggestion, dedicated to great art
German vowel of Mahler and Richard Strauss (of which in 2019 there are 70
years after his death) and above all French by Debussy, Ravel and Duparc.
One of the most acclaimed mezzos of his generation, Laura
Polverelli has trod the stages of some of the major theaters of
world, collaborating with conductors of the caliber of Abbado,
Alessandrini, Bertini, Biondi, Bolton, Chailly, Chung, Davis, Gelmetti,
Mehta, Muti, Pappano, Gatti, Rousset, Tate, Harding. For the Academy
Chigiana - of which she was a student - sang in Mozart's Requiem,
in Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, in Rossini's Cinderella, in
Conspiracy by Schubert, in Gounod's Doves, as well as in
Tosti show in the house of Annunzio, dedicated to Guido Chigi Saracini
for the 50th anniversary of his death.
Matteo Fossi graduated from the Conservatory of Ferrara. Subsequently
he studied with Maria Tipo, Pietro De Maria and Pier Narciso Masi,
and attended the Seminar of Maurizio Pollini at the Chigiana Academy.
He has performed in all the main Italian seasons and in Europe, the United States,
Brazil, China, South Korea, both as a soloist and in music ensembles
chamber. Also active in the organization and dissemination of
music, is the artistic director of the New Musical Events Association and
piano teacher at the Rinaldo Franci Higher Institute in Siena e
chamber music at the Fiesole Music School.
