Po úspěšném a posluchači tolik oblíbeném koncertu Velikáni filmové hudby přicházíme s druhou sérií nestárnoucích melodií filmového plátna. Tentokrát jsme připravili melodie ze snímků takových velikánů, jako jsou a byli Danny Elfman, Lalo Schifrin, James Horner, John Barry, Howard Shore, Jerry Goldsmith či Leonard Bernstein. Skladatelských legend, které dokázaly, že filmová hudba není pouze hudební žánr, který vzniká jen jako součást konkrétního filmového díla, ale pro svůj obrovský přesah se stane světově uznávaným uměleckým skvostem.

Český národní symfonický orchestr má za sebou nepřeberné množství interpretací filmové hudby a soundtracků historie kinematografie nejen v Čechách, ale i v zahraničí. Proto i nadále s velkou radostí a odhodláním zařazuje melodie stříbrného plátna do svého programu. Opět se tak stane 15. listopadu, jako již tradičně ve Smetanově síni Obecního domu, pod taktovkou šéfdirigenta orchestru Stevena Mercuria.

Following on from the success of The Giants of Film Music concert, we have created a second series of timeless melodies from the big screen. This time we have handpicked melodies composed by legends including Danny Elfman, Lalo Schifrin, James Horner, John Barry, Howard Shore, Jerry Goldsmith and Leonard Bernstein. These are indisputable composing legends who have proved that film music is not merely a musical genre, created as accompaniment for a film. Through their work they have shown that film music, due to its enormous scope, is a world-renowned artistic gem in its own right.

The Czech National Symphony Orchestra has performed a plethora of interpretations of film music and soundtracks from the history of cinema in the Czech Republic as well as abroad. That is why we delight in continuing to feature melodies from the silver screen in our programme. The concert will take place on November 15, hosted as usual in the Smetana Hall of the Municipal House, under the baton of the orchestra's music director Steven Mercurio.
